Ansoo lake is situated in kaghan valley Pakistan.This is the one of the beautiful lake of pakistan. The word "ANSOO" means "Tear" The reason behind the name of ansoo lake is, its shape is like tear. it is said that the lake have been discovered in 1993 by pakistan air force pilotes who were flying in the area. for the trip of ansoo lake, it take seven to nine hour trek from the lake saiful muluk, so if you are interested to visit ansoo lake it is better to spend night on the saiful muluk and start travel as early in the morning.
The second trek to visit Ansoo lake is throug village name Mahandari, Located about 40km to the north of the naran, Turning left from Mahandri Bazar, a jeep track leads to village manor. You can reach here through jeeps but it is better to cover this distance through walking to enjoy the beauty of nature. After this village your next destination would be Dher. From here trek starts to incline. After 3 to 4 hours trek from Dher at a hight of about of 14000 feet you can see the ANSOO LAKE
